My phone wont connect to my parents car through jack-stick. It just keeps playing from the phones speakers istead of the cars. The cars is a citroen c4 Picasso.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you talking about using an aux cable to connect the phone's headphone jack to the phone's aux port? Or are you talking about a USB connection?

If you're using an aux cable, make sure that (a) the car's input is set to Aux, and (b) the phone's volume is turned up to max (you can still adjust the volume using the car's volume control).

Thanks! Yes i am talking about the aux to aux cable and not a usb connection. The cars input is set to aux, and the phones is also set to max volume but it doesn't really connect to the car since the phone keeps just blasting music out its own speakers and doesn't act like it is hooked up to something through the headset Jack. Very odd

I have a similar problem. P9 lite. I have tried two sets of connectors. I have to carefully insert the jack in the phone and gently place it down. Any movement and the sound comes out of the phone. It is as if the jack is too small for the phone and moves about! I use ear buds a lot and don't have the same issue.
