"Phone" Won't open, only flashes

On my home screen, the phone button won't open. It just flashes. Also, when i send/receive a text message the name doesn't come up. When I go to people, all the contacts are still there. I tried to reset the device nothin changed. Anyone know a fix?

Hmmm - sounds like something has gone wrong with the System software if the phone button and the sms issues were not fixed by a factory reset.

When you did the reset, did you have to go through the setup and re-login to Gmail? If not then it was not a full reset, and you should try a full reset.

Yeah I did the factory reset and it fixed. I hope it doesn't happen again.

I had a similar issue, when trying to uninstall an app, somehow the google framework went corrupt and every time I hit the phone button it would force close. Did a full factory reset and it fixed the problem. Hope it doesn't happen again as well.
