Photo Album Just Disappeared

I have beem collecting photos of house ideas that I like from downloads. This morning that album has just magically vanished and I know I didn't delete it. Any remote chance it is still somewhere on my phone? Has anyone had this happen?

if you go to My Files and under Device Storage\DCIM you can see your photos, then somehow, maybe installed a new app or something that activated the hidden feature. Check to see if you see your pictures physically there, if so, check in the Root folder (Device Storage) or any of the subsequent subfolder tree to see if you find a file named " .nomedia ", if you see a file like that delete it, what that file does is to hide any media in that folder or any of its subfolders.

I tried what the previous poster suggested and I can't see my photos BUT I found them (sans photos) in my download history. However, when I try to click on them I get the error message "Download Failed - Try downloading again later or delete it from queue? And when I click RETRY - error message "Download Failed".
When I click the check mark next to the item and select details, the URL reads "non-dwnldmnger-download-don't-retry2download"\

So are my download photos just "lost"? If so, this sucks the big one...I need those photos!
