Photon 4G Wifi Tether 4G

Yes, I've seen other forums but nothing looks resolved. You guys are my experts. Has ANYONE been able to get wireless tethering to work in infastructure mode with a password AND 4G enabled? Seems like the holy grail and someone's cracked it. Care to share? Please? Thanks.

I may have come up with a workaround for 4G. I'm on the train right now sending this.
Using version 3.0-pre 12. Set up as a Nexus one, netd, mss clamping enabled.

Downloaded data enabler. It turns off 3G. Then I turned on 4G, started up the program and I've got around 2.0 download speed.

Are there any other, better, or easier options?
