Android Central Question

In my Samsung galaxy s8 I have photos stored in albums. In one album, when I look at all the thumbnails, 52 of them look like a newspaper article that I snapped a shot of. Once I click on them, however, they are the actual photos that I stored in the album. If I click on one and scroll photo by photo, they are the true photos, but if I look at the thumbnails, all I see are 52 copies of the newspaper article. In other words, the thumbnails show each photo to be something it’s not. Once I click on it, the newspaper photo turns into what’s really stored there. I’m so frustrated.

Try clearing the Gallery app's cache. That'll force it to re-scan your images and might fix whatever bug caused the thumbnails to be incorrect.

If you reboot the phone the problem persists? You can also test moving one of those images to another album and see if the erroneous thumbnail goes along with it (and same when moving it back).
