Just picked up some accessories for my Evo from my local Sprint store.
Since I'm a Sprint Premier customer, I got a 25% discount, so I'll show the full and discounted price...

1 - Evo Screen Protector (2 gloss - 1 matte) $12.99/$9.74
1 - HTC HDMI Cable (D-Type to A-Type) $29.99/$22.49
1 - Evo Black Leather Pouch w/Magnetic Latch $29.99/$22.49
1 - HTC Evo Accent Shield - White $19.99/$14.99

My local Best Buy said they had some accessories but wouldn't sell them until Launch.
My Radio Shack said limited to NO accessories on Launch.

I'm picking my Evo from RS because of the Instant Rebate + $20 Gift Card + $10 for taking their survey. Normally I buy all my phones from a Sprint Corporate store, but not this time.

Cool

Possible to show the accent shield out of package?

Does it come in black?

Thanx

It does come in black but its totally different.
The front is a very nice black gloss and the back has a grey rubber like pad with 45 drgree ribbing. There is no chrome trimming.

Heres some shots of the Protective Cover front, Inside (felt like material), Back and side.

Is that case like their body guard case? I like that one because it props the phone up to protect the camera lens.

Not sure what the Body Guard Case is, but the white case I have seems to be thick enough to hide/protect some of the lens that protrudes from the back of the Evo, but I dont think enough to protect the lens surface.

can you take more pics of the leather case? maybe a side view to see how the clip looks and the inside?

Okay thanks, I am gonna browse around tomorrow at Best Buy then go to a sprint store and see what they have in terms of cases. Best Buy is pre-installing invisible shields on the pre-orders at my store so that part is covered :D

Sprint Evo Belt Case out of the box

The Sprint Evo Belt Case seems to be made of nice leather. It has the HTC logo on the flap. The flap opens and closes with a magnet which I prefer over velcro.

It is very slim. I don't think it will even fit a Evo with slicone cover. Sorry, but I think all it'll fit is a naked Evo with screen protector, which is how I plan to carry my Evo most of the time.

I'll use the White Case on an outing when I don't want to wear a belt clip case.

The Sprint Evo Belt Case DOES NOT appear to swivil in the back.

Does the case side profile have an opening for the micro usb connector? My htc mogul leather case did and it was able to be charge while still in the case. Very convenient to just pull of my belt and connect it.

Sorry, NO opening on the side for any connectors.

The only opening is on the bottom, to allow for fingers to assist pushing phone up and out of case.

thanks for the leather case pics! :) can you do one more of the side? i just want to compare it to the mogul's leather case that i'm still using after three years ;)

that's unfortunate that it won't fit an EVO + hard case :/ do you think it'll stretch out a bit after a while?

does the leather case truly engulf the entire phone, protecting it from all four corners IF the leather case drops?

Here's photos of the Sprint Evo case from the sides.

I think there's gonna be minimal stretching. Maybe....maybe when I'm ready to upgrade to the next Android phone.... :p

I think the case will totally protect the Evo on all corners if dropped.
The top/flap might give a bit on the corner if it lands on the corner, but the bottom corners protrudes from the inside pouch, so will definately protect the Evo there.

The question is, will the holster hold your phone with the white hard case you have? Or will it be too thick?

The White Case has an open face that will be almost flush with the screen.
The back is what adds the most to the thickness.
It's similar to a case I have for my Blackberry Tour. I don't think it'll add very much thickness to the Evo, but whatever thickness it adds is fine by me.

No, the belt holster will not hold the Evo in the White Case.
The Belt Case is to be used with a naked Evo with screen protector only.

I usually like to own several different cases just for the varirty.
