Anytime I take photos in portrait orientation and try to share them via apps like Facebook or Google+, the photos always insist on uploading in landscape orientation (sideways).
One solution I've seen proposed is to crop the photo in the Gallery app. Unfortunately, doing this greatly reduces the photo's resolution (i.e. a photo taken at 2560x1536 gets downscaled to 600x373). Rotating the photos in the Gallery app also doesn't seem to help.
Anyone have any better solutions to this problem?
