I recently bought a cheap burner Android phone from Target store on sale for $49 (normally $79), the TracFone Samsung J3 Orbit. For kicks, I shot some test pictures on both the J3 phone and Note 10+ for comparison. From my initial observations, the Note 10+ phone can handle high contrast scenes quite easily (maintaining both highlight and shadow details). But the Samsung J3 phone produced images that left much to be desired. Basically the J3 phone camera has low dynamic range, subject matter in the sun was blown out, and subject matter in the shade was too dark. I realize this J3 TracFone has low specs (8MP camera/2GB RAM/16GB Storage), but still I thought it could do better. Check out the attached pictures shot with both the Note 10+ and the Samsung J3 Orbit. I realize this is not a scientific test, nor a fair comparison. But I shot many other examples of high contrast scenery, and in every instance, the J3 phone kept producing consistently poor results. So what's the point of all this? No point, really, LOL. Just wanted to share an observation I recently made...avoid cheap phones if you want decent quality images. By the way, the only reason I got this burner phone is for the smaller 5" screen which pairs well with a new toy I got, the Parrot Teleprompter 2 device for reading scripts attached to the lens of a DSLR camera when shooting videos.

The top 2 images are shot with the Note 10+ phone. The bottom 2 images are shot with the Samsung J3 Orbit phone. I chose this particular location/scenery because it's a difficult high contrast test for the cameras.

Cool.

it can happen either from the app or from the desktop and a slight resize is the answer because it adjusts the orientation at the same time (set by camera tags), which is the real issue.

It's weird because when I post from my BlackBerry Motion, it's fine. But when I post from my Note10+, its not right.
