It certainly was. I was glad to return after many, many years.

Now if I could only figure out why my Fold will not offer me the Android 14 update. It did while I was in Greece but I turned it down not wanting to risk having a working phone. Now, it is not showing up leaving we with an "up to date" OS 13. I spoke with Google this morning and they wanted me to wipe and return to Factory Fresh. I'm not willing to do that - too much hassle and recovery.

That's great ..I'd like to return myself it's been a long long time ....

Why don't you sign up for beta ..it's running smoothly and come year end it will let you transition out with a stable

I guess I could. Being really out of it - how does one sign up for Beta (and watch my luck, they will say that 14 is out and there's no reason for beta!)

You scroll down to see eligible devices and enroll..but if issues to roll back to 13 would need a wipe..though I've had no issues since in beta

No idea how long 2.59gigs will take! What is interesting is that I called Google yesterday. They suggested that to "fix" the update not being available, I should Factory Wipe and see if that allowed 14 to be offered again. (In case, backstory, 14 was offered while I was in Greece but not wanting to chance a bollixed device, I turned it down. Now not offered). Google did NOT suggest installing the BETA.

Fingers and eyes uncrossed. By George it worked. I'm now a beta tester, a status I have not had in a number of years. I'm not Android 14 in spite of Google's Tech Support suggestions.
