Photos taken by the Pixel Fold.

Grim day here weather wise; but dry this morning so managed to give the BMW a contactless wash. The last one of 2023 and the last one before my op on Wednesday renders me useless for a good few weeks

Quite happy with how well the Folds pictures come out; can't tell any difference between the and those on my IP14PM

Will see how it fares when I take some brighter & more detailed shots
It's looking very clean ..good luck with Op and speedy recovery

Some tools arrived yesterday (day after I needed them, typical) 😂

Anyways; took a quick 'close up' picture using the Fold and it doesn't disappoint...

It doesn't have Macro capabilities (which I was surprised at when I found out); but then again I don't take many macro pictures and I've my 14PM for that if required)

The clarity and detail look really good to my eyes

Okay, not necessarily the best images but while she was driving in the evening I grabbed some images through the windshield of downtown Seattle on a damp night. Again, while not great, I thought that they were interesting. Moody clouds.

The two stadiums

STADIA, huh!

Well, I just had to check on that:

"The correct usage would be stadiums.

Though most dictionaries disagree, Stadia in its strict sense is supposed to used only to measure lengths in excess of 1 stadium (which is equal to 200 metres approximately)

This is what Wikipedia says - "Stadium" comes from the Greek word "stadion" (στάδιον), a measure of length equalling approximately 200 metres. The oldest known stadium is the one in Olympia, in the western Peloponnese, Greece, where the Olympic Games of antiquity were held since 776 BC. Initially 'the Games' consisted of a single event, a sprint along the length of the stadium. Therefore the length of Olympia's stadium became somewhat of a standard measure of distance. A Roman stadium was slightly smaller, a distance of 125 passus (double-paces), equal to about 185 meters or 607 feet.

The English use of stadium comes from the tiered infrastructure surrounding a Roman track of such length. Although most dictionaries provide for both "stadiums" and "stadia" as valid plurals, etymological sticklers sometimes apply "stadia" only to measures of length in excess of 1 stadium."

But since this definition mentioned it, here's my pictures from my recent trip to THAT Olympia (we also have an Olympia, the capital of WA state south of Seattle) and its STADIUM. I also have a video of our group running it. And the crowning of our champion.

More shots of this mornings frosty view...

iPhone 14PM vs Pixel Fold:

In my simple none professional photographer opinion; the fold holds itself VERY well vs the iPhone

Yes the close up shot is good; not as good as the iPhone in which its macro capabilities are excellent (we all know that) - quick macro shot

I think the Fold's colour is warmer than the iPhone; for me the picture from our side door down the cul de sac (shot 3) on the Fold is warmer/nicer to look at than the iPhone; both pictures are very good

But the shots of the ice on my BMW come out better on the iPhone IMO

I can't post photos anymore using the app. Permissions issue. Clearing cache or reinstalling doesn't help. Any ideas?
