Photos taken vertically show up sideways when sharing.

I've noticed on my Note 8 that photos I take vertically show up sideways when sharing such that I have to rotate them to get them to display correctly. Anyone know of some setting I can change for this or is this an issue with the Note 8?

I'd just like to have the option to rotate a photo in the Samsung Gallery app if it's taken the wrong direction, like I can do on my N4.

It's the file size. I've seen this on my Note 5 also. I usually copy the photo (so I can still have my original), then I edit the copy of photo to resize it to about 40%, then it renders correctly when I upload it.
