Finally got my phone yesterday from my Best Buy pre-order, this is one of the first photos I snapped this morning on my walk to the train. Processed it in Snapseed before posting it to Instagram.

I wonder if AC or Tapatalk do some kind of post processing to the photos? I notice artifacts that I don't see in pictures on my phone.

I don't understand why for some folks' posted pictures, one may "click" on them and enlarge them further, while for others, one cannot click on them and get them larger?

I use an icon on the post interface on Android Central's interface (it looks like a square with the four corners slightly darker as in 4 darker dots in the 4 corners) to attach/post pictures, and my pictures may be clicked on in order to enlarge them.

The apps like tapatalk and the AC app all compress the heck out of the photos.

I've found if I go to the desktop version of AC through my browser to upload pics it doesn't compress them as much as the apps.

Played around with the "Raw" DNG photo option. Has pretty good dynamic range for pushing in Camera Raw, but there is a really surprising amount of noise, or baked in sharpening for iso50 in "Pro" mode. Obviously a compressed form of DNG, not true uncompressed RAW. Not much recovery in the highlights, but decent color depth in the shadows.

I'll try some capture in the Adobe Lightroom DNG raw camera app next time, and see how that raw file compares.
