Photos Taken With Your Nexus 4 Camera!

The amount of noise and lack of proper focus in some of these night shots make me think that the N4 only has a 5MP sensor and it's software scaling the images to 8MP. No offense to anyone, but they're absolutely terrible. If this is what the phone produces, then I'm sticking with my Gnex. Of the 1700+ photos I've taken with it, none look this bad.

But thank you everyone for sharing! Please continue, as I have nothing but time on my hands while I patiently wait for my N4 to arrive.

I totally agree... Gnex is much better I think for a camera.. I made that comment a while ago. Low light pictures suck..... and so does the battery life...

HAHA - seriously? The gnex camera was notoriously one of the worst high end smart phone cameras. Most people on here are not taking their time to take a really good shot with their phones. I have taken a few really nice pics so far. step one, setting exposure to -1. honestly, I do not see much of a drop off, if at all, coming from my rooted one X with camera jpeg mod. some of these blanket erroneous statements are embarrassing.

The best pics I've ever took. I've done nothing to them. They are not HDR either this confirms that this is a very good camera. They look better on the phone then on this forum.

One thing I just thought of, that might be affecting the quality of some pictures, is the factory rear screen protector. I know a lot of people are keeping theirs installed while waiting for a case or whatnot, and I'm wondering if anyone who's posted pics in this thread still have theirs installed. I would imagine it can degrade picture quality. Any thoughts?

In any case, I'll be able to properly asses the situation with my own eyes on Tuesday, as my Nexus 4 has finally shipped.

The plastic film that protects the back during shipment doesn't cover the camera.
