Impressed how well this came out. Took a few with my wife's iphone on the beach as she was totally dark and the Note handled the situation remarkably. More impressed the more I use this thing.

Are you in MA/RI... no, that's right, you're in NY, aren't you? We got the same thing up here - THE absolute weirdest sun I have ever seen! I started to wonder if I was looking at an eclipse at one point, or something! It was really doing some weird stuff! I was in southeastern MA and got some great stuff as it was setting, as well... I'm glad I wasn't the only one. We had several folks pulling into the Lake saying "What is that?" or "What is going on with that Sun?" and then pulling out their phones to snap shots too! It was crazy! It'll be interesting to see if they mention it on the 11:00 News!

This was my first shot at 20X and the camera didn't catch the "anomaly" that was happening! There was the appearance of almost a second sun slightly above, to the right and behind the one in the picture! Whether the haze was causing some kind of back reflection in the sky or something, I'm not sure, but we could all see it (7 people)... though the cameras could not???

Yes, it was rather strange. I was thinking it was the moon for a couple of seconds. Was sitting in my car and saw it through the shaded top half of my windshield. I didn't have the double effect you mentioned. What was strange was as I was driving, it seems to increase in size. At one point almost double the size of the photo I took.

On the 11:00 News, they said it was actually, high level "Smoke", drifting East from the wildfires out west if you can believe that! It definitely was a totally different effect than any kind of haze than I've ever seen before, for sure! Glad I got to both see and photograph it!
