I was noticing that some of my closer shots were coming out blurry on the left side which I attributed to depth of field but then sometimes the overall image was also not sharp. I found something on Youtube today that said to to turn off touch vibrations in the camera settings. This speeds up the shutter so there is no lag which has led to much sharper images. FYI in case it helps anyone else.
