Whenever pictures are taken with the camera they come out blotchy with a sort of white circle on it. Could this be a fault? Or can anyone recommend the best settings to use on the moto g to produce the best photos.

Have you tried using a different camera app? Can you post an example? It might be a lens defect or a sensor one if it shows up in any camera app...
