I am thinking of trying out MobileX. I don't want to cancel TMO until I try the other first. Can you have a physical SIM and eSIM in the same phone and switch between the two?

I didn't remember if I tried physical sim and esim at the same time, but you can do 2 separate companies the same time if both are esim for sure, I think you can do physical and esim also

You won't need to switch between to sims, you can run them both at the same time, you can even assign which sim to use for text messages. So you can have your text messages to thru TMO, your regular line and test the other line for signal. You can also assign which sim is primary for calls. When you run 2 sims you will have 2 signal bars so you can compare easier. When I was testing 2 carriers, I left my regular phone number as primary for a few days then I forwarded my primary to the carrier I was testing. People calling you would use your normal number and if you called back your regular number would show up since you are using it as the primary.

So if anyone else is wondering. Yes you can use a physical SIM and eSIM at the same time. You choose a primary SIM to use, but you can choose every time you make a call or send a text. It will use DATA from your primary SIM. You can receive calls and texts from each number. As far as I can tell, RCS chats on google messages will only work on your primary SIM. Your secondary SIM will be SMS.

MobileX here I come. $8.58 a month for talk/text/1GB data (I rarely use over 1 GB of data). The first 10 days you have unlimited to try it, so I've been trying speed tests all over and its working fine. They have unlimited plans too if you need that. It runs on Verizons network. And if you go on the by the gig plan, you can buy more if you run out for 2.10 a GB.

The allocation feature is great for travelling to different places.
