Picasa photos

How do I make the Picasa photos in my gallery go away permanently? I know you can go to settings and select just photos on phone. But it doesn't let you just delete them so I'm at a loss on what I can do.
I appreciate any help on this.

Make sure sync is disabled for Google Photos (Gallery > Settings > [google account] >Sync Google Photos). Then go to Settings > Application Manager > All > Gallery and hit the Clear data button. When you go back into Gallery, all of the Picasa photos will be gone (but still available on the web).
