Picasa Pics not synching with photo gallery

My picasa pics are not synching with the photo gallery. I have google photo sync turned on. Plus the three dots in the upper right are different than my nexus 4. It's missing the settings option. My photo gallery doesn't have settings like the nexus 4. Is this working correctly?

I don't have an X (which makes me envious of you), but on my Moto Razr Maxx (original), the ability for the stock Gallery to show Picasa/Google+ galleries disappeared after the update to Jellybean. If your X's stock Gallery app doesn't sync with Picasa/Google+, it may be that they want you to use Google+ as your main gallery for your cloud pics, while the stock Gallery can be used for local pics.
