Pics aspect ratio

Hi, none of my 8 meg pics are filling the screen. There are some gray borders on each side of the pic. Is there a setting to change this or is it the pic size? Thanks.

That's the pic size, same on an iPhone its just when you browse pics on an iPhone it auto zooms slightly to fill the screen. IPhone 5 might be different but its usually normal
