I have not even turned the Nexus 7 on yet ( You need to start it out with a full charge ) But here are some comparison pics of how the Nexus 7 stacks up in size compared to my iPad Mini & Galaxy Note.. It's a "Tweener" for sure... 
I should state that, the Build Quality of the New Nexus 7 feel *Just As Good* as my iPad Mini.. They have done a wonderful job in that respect...
