I was transfering some pictures to my phone and got a pop message saying 'Your device might not be able play or view this file'. It's happened for some jpg files while others have been fine. Also png files. So what picture format would be best?

Thanks

I've seen this as well but the phone has always showed them just fine.

Agree with Skunk. Your phone will display most formats. Go ahead and transfer them despite the warning. If you find that there are issues while viewing them on the phone, you can always delete them.

Thanks. I gave it a shot and some pictures didn't work. Some of them I took with my old cell phone, are all .jpg, but only a few of them work. This seems weird to me.

Just to be clear, I'm trying to put them on my SD card. They were on there before, and appeared to be working. But I wanted to clean up my SD card so I backed what I wanted to keep, deleted everything, and now I'm just transfering my pictures back on to the SD card.

I did the same with my SD card. Strange that they were working before and not now. Try viewing them with QuickPic. That's my picture viewer of choice and has many more features than gallery.
