Picture printing, how do I set quality, size etc?

With my old LG env2 I could set the print quality. IIRC it had a way to choose the size or some option that would make the printer (HP Photosmart 3310) use the main tray or the 4x6 photo tray.

I managed to get a photo printed, it went right to the photo paper tray but instead of being sized to fit it cropped off all the edges.

What app are you using to print? There is a samsung one and an HP one in the market that I know of.
