Poor performance in Snapchat isn't the fault of HTC, blame Snapchat.

Some people don't have the problem anymore by the sound of it but I do, I found that if I turn of filters in Snapchat's settings then it focuses better. But then you have no filters, so it's more of a temporary solution than anything if it works for you...
