A person with iPhone sent picture via text toa friend of my worth a Samsung phone. The Samsung phone person then sent it to me via text. Both pictures on the first 2 phones were excellent quality. When I received the picture it was all pixely...any guess as to why it would change if it was fine on the other 2 phones?

How big was the original image file? MMS has a maximum attachment filesize of 1.2 MB (or lower, depending on the carrier). If the person who sent you the photo is on a carrier that has a more limited attachment filesize limit, then the photo would be compressed before being sent, thus making it lower resolution.

Another possibility is that the person who sent you the photo mistakenly attached the thumbnail, rather than the full image.

I did have them send it directly to me and it's crappy. 3 different carriers but it sent from iPhone on Sprint to Samsung on at&t beautifully. Both images were horrible to my Samsung phone on Verizon...I'm confused.

Just to be clear--the person with the iPhone sent the photo to your friend with the Samsung on AT&T using iMessage, and the Samsung received it using the stock Messaging app? And the iPhone user is sending the photo to you the same way? Just want to make sure no one is using a 3rd party SMS app, or some alternate messaging app like Hangouts.
