Picture transfer problems

I am trying to copy photos from my phone, and paste them on my laptop. I'm able to locate the photos in the DCIM folder, but they don't show a preview. I have no idea which I'm transferring, so I have to constantly delete. Is there any way to see photos using Windows Explorer (op system windows Vista), maybe in the preview screen, without having to open each one?

Nope. MTP storage doesn't allow for preview at the moment. This "mtp" is utter junk if you ask me.
For me I do my photo previews on the phone itself. Then I move the photos I want to transfer into a folder that I created. Then I just move the whole folder to my pc.
