Pictures from Kik no longer saving to Gallery after uninstall/reinstalling?

[Android Central Question]

The photos and videos that I have sent via Kik used to save to their own folder in my gallery. Since I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, this feature does not happen. where are these photos going?

As of yesterday it was working fine , if someone sent me a pic or video in kik , I could click on the download icon and then it would give me a checkmark and then the pic would be saved on my camera roll & uploaded into my gallery on my samsung galaxy s10 and it even created a folder named kik where the pics were and now for some reason unknown if I download a pic from kik it says "Image saved " but the image is not in the camera roll or in the kik folder for my galley and I cannot find it on my phone ? Should I just quit kik because there are no answers and not support ?

I am having the same problem starting today with my s9.. has anyone found a solution to the problem?

Yup I've done that about four times now. The pictures will not go back to being in the image library

I have sent 3 emails in the last couple days and added a review (today). Haven't heard anything.

I have attempted to email and it kicked it back as unable to send

Have you contacted the developers? Their email address is support@kik.com

Just Uninstall from your apps list then install one of the older APK , might have to put it back in your secure folder

I tap it, it says it saves, but it is nowhere in my library, including the kik folder. Iv restarted my phone, cleared storage and checked permissions in my app. Still nothing.

Just wanted to add that I'm having the same issue and looking for answers on the web and found this thread. I have a Samsung S10 and the issue just recently happened as well. I don't think it's isolated.

I saw you posted a link to the older version. I can try later and report back. I will say, though, reading from most recent reviews, a few people said they had this problem with the latest version of Kik. Not sure when it last got updated so I normally just update all my apps on Google Play.
