Pictures mysteriously disappearing ???

Same freaking issue here. All my images gets deleted. Happend thrice now. Seriously getting in my head.

Same thing happened to me. One day there, next gone. I had thousands of picutures and now there's a few 100 left. Can't figure it out

I am having a similar issue for the past week, Android 9, but do not have cloud storage turned on in Google photos. Mine happens when pictures are taken and held in local memory and can be seen initially from within the camera app, but don't seem to be read by Google photos and then are wiped from even being able to view them in the camera app. I had recently updated and now have another so maybe there is a patch to correct the issue or a bug that has not been identified yet. I am thinking of trying a different photo viewer app to see if the issue is related to Google Photos or the camera.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? I presume it's not an S6, since that didn't get an official Pie update. Are the photos saving to Internal Storage or to an SD card?

What exactly do you mean by that question? Are you asking how to recover deleted photos?

Which phone do you have, and were the photos saved to Internal Storage or the SD card? Are you saying that you deleted those photos and want to recover them, or that they suddenly disappeared without you doing anything?
