Pictures not saving!

I am so tired of this! Sometimes I double click the home button for the camera to pop up and sometimes from my lock screen, I swipe up on the camera icon, to get the camera open. Snap a few pics and later go to the gallery, only to find out THE PICS I SNAPPED ARE NOT THERE! Sometimes I save to SD card, sometimes to phone memory, just to see if that makes a difference, but it doesn't! Anyone else have this problem? Why aren't the pics saving?

If you use My Files to look directly in the /DCIM/Camera directory, do you see the photo files there?

Same issue here and to a friend's phone. He says it's always been buggy but he has had an SD card since day 1, mine started recently (coincidentally when I finally put an SD card on the phone) and only happens with the home screen swipe shortcut and home button double click shortcut. It shows the image preview at the bottom after I take it but it is nowhere to be found. Checked every single folder and nothing.
