Pictures not showing up in Gallery

S9+ appears to take a picture (screen blinks like a shutter) but the picture doesn't show up in the Gallery. I have lost many pictures that way. Just yesterday it took me at least half a dozen attempts to take one photo.

Do you have camera settings to default to a sd card ?

I would to test it , probably something corrupt with your sd card .
