Free light show whilst out walking the steak pie and whisky off last night .
Wild WILD night , spent most of the time trying to not get blown into the sea.

Just out of shot in first picture - my brother in law ,who's RNLI pager went off whilst we were chatting. ( Turned out to be a false alarm before they got on the all weather boat )

Taken from The Old Harbour , Dunbar , East Lothian. The glow in the distance of the first picture is Edinburgh about 30 miles away to the west.

No, didn't make it that far north unfortunately. We were there 4 days, starting in Oslo and taking the train to Bergen. We also went to Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, and Latvia.

Nice! That sounds similar to the trip we have coming up in the spring: Flying into Oslo for a few days; taking the scenic train from Oslo to Bergen (Bergensbanen); then after a few days in Bergen, embarking on a Viking cruise that visits sites in Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Estonia, and Sweden. Here's hoping we'll also have some spectacular photos to share when we return!

Cool! We really enjoyed all there was to do in Oslo and the RIB Boat/cheese tasting tour in Flam/Undredal...you can see the company we used in the photo below and they were great.



Hopefully you get time to see the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.



We did Viking's Danube River/Christmas Markets cruise back in 2015 and loved it.
Viking is expensive but they treat you really well. You're going to have a great time!

Thanks for the photos and suggestions. We love Viking -- they certainly pamper their guests. This will be our first ocean cruise, but we've enjoyed 7 of their river cruises in Europe since 2016. Highly recommended!
