When I connect my Galaxy Nexus to my computer only the pictures I took while on ICS show on my computer. None of the pictures I have taken since on JB show up. All pictures taken from ICS and JB are in the gallery on my phone. Before JB I'd connect my phone to the computer and pick which pictures I want to download. Running stock JB. My computer is running windows 7 if it matters.

under settings>storage> USB comp connection.... so you have MTP or PTP selected, try changing it and see what happens....
I have no issue son either XP or 7

Was set to PTP, tried MTP nothing. Neither will show pictures taken with JB

This is a curious one. You could try something like AirDroid as a possible work around.

Try WiFi Explorer too. As long as your PC/Mac and phone are on the same wifi network, you just browse the phone's storage via Chrome/Firefox whatever. Even autozips the files when you pull them.

How are you trying to move them? Some "import" function (haven't used XP in a while, don't remember if it had that)? Also, when you say they show up in the gallery - are they in the same album?

My guess is this has something to do with how JB introduced a junction in the file structure so that there is now a directory /sdcard (old) and the mirror /sdcard0 (new). Post JB, apps on the system default to /sdcard0, although all files in /sdcard and /sdcard0 are visible to the file system as if they were in the same folder. It could be that your WinXP machine is looking only at /sdcard, and not seeing the new photos.

Going to install Windows 7 next week, maybe that will help. If not at least I'll have a new operating system
