pictures to sd card

The real problem is deleting pictures from the SD card. No picture app I've used, stock, Google or otherwise, will delete pictures from the SD card. The only app that will is My Files browser. But that can only display tiny thumbnails.

For convenience sake, I may have to save pictures to internal memory and occasionally archive them to external SD.

Really wish Google didn't screw with SD card users like this.

When I went to camera settings, I didn't see the save to SD option - but you have to scroll down to that option - why they just didn't put all the icons on one page because it appears that all that are there are the ones that pop up first, since there is more room on the screen for the others, but there is a scroll bar on the right - then I found it! Sneaky!

Yeah, that scroll bar IS sneaky! I didn't see it either till someone pointed it out seveal weeks ago.
As for deleting pictures from the SD card, I'm using the stock gallery and my pictures delete just fine.
I wonder if the card is locked?

Unfortunately, Quickpic cannot MOVE pictures to the SD card since Kitkat. So I uninstalled it and went back to stock gallery

That's correct.. It even states it in the description.

"- Can't modify the external storage in KitKat (Android 4.4). This is system's new limitation. :-("

For downloads, go into Internet settings and specify external sd

No way to do it with screenshots that I know of

Go to the my files app in the applications folder. Select device storage. Scroll down to pictures. Screenshots should be listed in this file. Use the settings bar in the upper right corner to select it. Use the settings bar again to move it to SD card. This can be done for downloads and any other picture files that are normally stored in device storage.

JCLINTb Your answer solved my problem with my Galaxy S 4. I had to click on three successive camera settings menus ("sprockets") and then scroll all the way down before I found the option to save to the SD card. Thank you!

You have to Scroll down do see the full menu. I drove me nuts for a while. Where is the storage button? Scroll down and wala.

I had the same problem, until I discovered that while in the camera app, if you tap on the the small photo image in the lower left corner, it will take you to your photos, where you can in fact delete them from the SD card.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 from Verizon, now on Android 4.4.4. I'd love to change the default storage location of both downloads and screenshots.

But if screenshots are off the table, let's talk about Downloads.

Your instructions match up with a manual that I found online:
Internet Settings; Messages Settings; S Voice Settings - Samsung Galaxy S5 User Manual [Page 277]

But in my Settings app, I don't see any "Internet" Settings. Could it have been moved to a different location that anyone else knows about from updates that have happened since your instructions per posted on 5/9/2014 and since that manual was posted?

Thanks for your attention!

UPDATE: I did a search within Settings for "download", but the only thing that came up was a "Download To" setting under Nearby Devices (which I have turned off), and it has the right choices (Device vs SD card), but that doesn't seem like it could be right for what I'm thinking of, downloading from the Internet (via Chrome, I expect).
