So I have updated Pie and I have noticed that my smartwatch is showing bluetooth connection lost icons almost all the time. Battery life of the watch has also plummeted after I updated my phone. I don't know if this is also happening with Tizen, but it is a bit of a problem.

which watch do you have? I have the Galaxy watch and the Note 9. A few times not long after the update I had a glitchy issue with the bluetooth with the watch and with the tablet, but it's working well now.

Have the Galaxy watch and Note 9, and no issues. Prior to this had the Gear Frontier and that worked well on Pie.

I've noticed that I have to approve the Bluetooth connection request between my watch and phone whenever I restart the phone.

Have you factory reset either the watch or phone?
If not, I would try the watch first.
