Pie: Battery Life

I used to monitor it very closely as well, but the Pixel 2 XL has such a strong battery it's eliminated battery anxiety for me. I plug it in for 45 minutes or so every morning and go about my day.

I wish I got that. I've got my first data point for overnight battery idling since Pie and it's not good. I lost 15% battery in a little over 10 hours. 1.46% per hour loss overnight.

I'm on a Pixel 2 and was initially worried about the smaller battery capacity. Fortunately it turns out I was worrying for nothing. I'd welcome a bigger battery if it meant a thicker phone but I'm still pretty happy with my P2.

I get decent signal where my phone sits overnight (appx -95 to -90 dBm) and it sits in a sleeve overnight so always-on-display uses no battery. Both factors contribute to my good idle time loss.

I'm still getting through the day with battery to spare and that's all that really matters to me.

My battery is improved since the first beta. Not alot but better than "O" by a little for sure. Overnite I lose between 2% to 6%. I can live with that. Also, as others have said if it gets me thru the day thats all I need it to do and I always have a fair amount of juice left by the time I plug in. (pixel2)

Been on vacation this week and my Pixel 2 has been getting me through the day with battery to spare on 9/Pie. Been very happy with it. My normal daily usage during a work day I'm generally streaming local radio, music or podcasts plus I watch at least 30 minutes of a show or movie while I work out during lunch and it does tend to eat the battery by mid afternoon so I do have to charge then but when I'm not doing that at work I tend to have no issue with the battery life.

That said, when I go to the battery settings it doesn't show me an apps list in Pie. Anybody else had that?

Tap the overflow menu (3 vertical dots) and select the only option that appears - "battery usage". There's your app list...

The battery life of my regular Pixel 2 has definitely improved. Seems Adaptive Battery is working!

I continue to see much better battery life with pie. I'm very pleased with the upgrade. Now, I just need a couple of applications to work (with Pie) and then all will be well.

That's great to hear! Which applications are giving you a hard time?
