Pie Beta

Beta 4 is good but I'm shocked if Samsung uses it as the official build. Still bugs to be squashed. This will be interesting.

Stable merely means doesn't crash. And a month at least till RTM so room for builds yet to final or release candidates.

At least S10s are in production and will hopefully a polished finished OS to demo in time.

Just an FYI - OneUI Beta program is still open for owners of S9 and S9+ phones running firmware ARK5 on US unlocked phones as of this morning when I did it. No more ADB sideloading updates for me...woohoo.

Thanks for the info. Got my friend signed up after her husband gave her an S9 for Christmas.

A.. a build we don't yet have.
B. Didn't see that it referred to Exynos but sounds likely it's international version.

Can expect internal builds leading to final candidate and RC leading to the RTM.

Not yet. Hoping for 1 more beta update.

I'm on the 3rd beta for note 9 so far good , got theme store back and the Samsung plus app still crashes and freezes I checked my s9+ looks good also but my daughter using that phone so dont have it often

Samsung+ app will be unusable during the beta. Was that way last year as well. I'm not having any major issues with beta 4. Just think it's inconsistent in the "one UI" concept and a few small tweaks I would like. Seriously like it and think it's a great effort on Samsung's part.

That's correct. The Samsung+ app has been broken in all beta builds in deference to the Samsung Members app that you use for bug reporting, suggestions, and reviews. You have to give it to Samsung for pushing out these builds in such a timely manner. Maybe Project Treble is working after all :).

With Beta 4, I've had one random reboot and a "sticky" AOD display on my home screen after unlocking the phone a couple of times that was fixed with a reboot. Battery life is getting better with the implementation of the Adaptive Battery functionality from Pie.

I definitely agree with you , I like it also.

I have finally settled with my navigation preference on pie. Gesture navigation with hints, I settled with hints because I like the slide from center to right to navigate to apps like I do on my Pixel 3 XL. Also, choose gesture navigation because I like it on iPhone Xs and Pixel 3, and like to continue on S9+.
Initially it was cumbersome and used to switch to navigation bar but now got used on the S9+ as well.

I've always liked gestures since they came out not crazy on the pixel but got use to them , Samsung approach is little different but I like it.
