Pie is here

I am on Virgin Mobile Canada with an unlocked Note 8 bought from Samsung, and it is currently downloading pie.

So far Android Pie is great! Crisp, with some new features that I am loving.

He said he ODined it, meaning that he manually installed it, it hasn't been officially released yet. It is sweet, things are so much smoother on my Sprint Note 8.

I am aware that the Pie update hasn't been released for Verizon yet. I was wondering how you OD it. Thanks

Any Sprint Note 8 Pie users here? Sprint Note 8 forum indicates serious Sprint LTE issues. Not updating yet. Might be a Sprint tech/tower/Freq-band(?) issue.

Don't like interface., childish. Changed my contacts, my way of saving calls and info.
Not able to adjust font size when messaging.
Not happy Samsung/ Android.
You want to change internal for optimization fine, but don't mess with my phone working and interface! Pissed consumer.

I was able to still pinch/zoom on text message to change font size.

I'm using the stock Messaging app but AT&T Note 8. I know some carriers may tweak or put in their version so may be different.

As for the other stuff... so far I like the UI. It's fresh looking... clean. Could have been worse. I don't like the standard icons used in this version but I've learned to ignore it I guess lol. May look for another one in theme store one day.

Had glitch with Bixby Vision but they updated within days and working now.

Didn't like the interface with Samsung Browser with favorites needing to go to three-bars(options) at the right to press the bookmarks setting then choose my fav... but they just updated that last night and put the fav icon on the main window so all it good now.

I like that I'm seeing fast updates since the OneUI release.

The UI doesn't seem to have slowed anything down and seems to run as smooth as before if not a tick smoother. I do have a lag when trying to do fast follow up shots in the camera but hope for an update soon.

So far I'll give it an A/A-
