Pie/one UI recent apps tab lagging

Either one UI or Pie is causing my phone to lag when I'm switching between apps on the recent apps tab, the animation gets all jerky and glitchy and it's not smooth at all.

Anyone experiencing this as well?

I read that it's something in the settings to keep that from happening. Let me go find the thread.

Go to the phone settings and then click on advanced features . Click reduce animations off. Hopefully that helps you.

Yeah I tried that as I saw that thread as well. But it's still not as smooth as compared to oreo.

make sure also in developer settings menu animations is not off or set them to .5×

I tried playing around with animations in dev settings but 0.5x seemed to make it more jerky for me and 1.5x is too slow.

Oh well, will probably get used to this with time.
