Pie Update. Some Awful Changes

Not sure if this is what you mean, but this is how I move pics without going into the gallery. I open my files, click internal and select what pics I want to move, click move at the bottom. Then I click the home folder at the top. Go down to SD card and click my folder and then click move here. To me if just seems like the process is longer on pie than it was on oreo or maybe I didn't really notice.

Yes, you're right. But when I select the files to move. At the bottom it gives you the option to move or copy, yes? My phone doesn't let me do anything after selecting files to move or copy.
It just cancels everything out when I hit copy or move.

I have to go into the gallery and it allows me to move files at will there.

Maybe it's just my phone, but something's changed.

I just tried it and it worked for me. I moved 5 this to SD card using this method.

Not really. I'm stuck with my Note 9 for a while and AT&T doesn't really carry anything besides Samsung and Apple.
I'm also on att. They have LG and ZTE. There's also some other brands I can't remember. I can totally understand if you don't like the other brands, but there are other options besides Apple and Samsung. #ijs

I will only buy one LG product ever, and that is the wallpaper TV. I will never buy their phones, smartwatches, or headphones. I have owned 2 phones, 3 headsets, and one smartwatch. All garbage.

ZTE isn't really in the same quality place as Samsung. So, yeah, I'm pretty much stuck.

Choosing it because you think it's better then all other options is not the same as being "stuck".
Hopefully you will warm up to it though.

Tolerate is the best I can do.

Fine, let's split the difference and say that I am in a quagmire

Only if you're restricting yourself to buying from the carrier. There are other devices that work perfectly fine on AT&T but are not sold through an AT&T store.

I haven't received a device sourced directly from a carrier since the first-generation Moto X was released.

Well, as soon as they become available on Next, then I can consider them. Financing has been the only way that I have been able to get upgrades a lot of the time

Strange, I've never seen an OS update that never had a beta test period and video previews posted all over youtube. My suggestion is turn off auto update, so some research before the update comes out and if you don't like what you see, don't download it when it's official.

Some people, like me, need to buy AT&T branded phones to have access to features like Wi-Fi calling.

I dont like for reason I have been accidentally calling people with this new update. Never had an issue before. Does anyone know why this is, maybe there is a shortcut for something I keep hitting.

You probably have direct call enabled where you lift the phone in the message app and it calls that person. You can toggle that off in advanced settings.

The alternative is to stop upgrading. And I was happy with my Note 9.

Android is going to change with every OS, so it's basically the worst choice if you are not looking for constant change. We already knew Pie was coming when the Note 9 came out.
