Pie won't install on Pixel 2

I followed the normal system update on my Pixel 2 to upgrade to Pie. I get the screen saying "System update installing" but it has made no progress over the past couple of hours. Every 10 mins or so, it stops and says "Download paused". Resuming gets similar results. I've tried rebooting. Any ideas?

The update installs to the slot you're not running (the phone has a and b slots). When it's finished installing, it will tell you to reboot. Then it reboots to the slot that the update was installed to. (It always did that, but made you wait until it was finished installing. Now you can keep using the phone. When the update finishes installing, it's up to you when to reboot, so updating no longer keeps you from using the phone.)

Just keep using it until it tells you to reboot. (As long as it's installing, a reboot reboots to the slot that was updated to last month. Changing the active slot is the last thing that's done.)

Hi, I've had a slightly different version of this problem on my Pixel2XL. When I click install it runs for a little while and shows step 1 of 2 but then comes up with installation failed, but no reason.

I've tried installing when charging, restarting the phone, installing over WiFi and 4G but nothing works. I clearly have memory space.

Any idea why this is happening? I'm stuck ATM.
