PIM app : Koxx Agenda

Hey now.....don't sweat it. You're only one person. Iambic and the other guys have teams working on their projects. You just keep doin' what you're doin'. A lot of people love the Pure line of software and I'm sure you won't be letting anyone down by not doing this project.

Keep up the good work friend!

I totally agree with wkj. I didn't mean to come across so demanding and bossy! Your pure line is absolutely amazing, and I believe I have all the stuff you've developed!! I'm sorry I got on a tangent about what would be cool to have. I have no clue about what it takes to develop an app, or the time involved.

And again, like wkj said, you wouldn't be letting anyone down at all. You've done great work, and I'm looking forward to your new apps in the future. . . whatever they may be!

As a former Palm/Agendus user, there are so many of us that came over to Android only to find that the OS lacked a really usable PIM and all the "big" developers like Iambic, etc, barely have it on their radar. And their apps cost $$! So, Koxx, keep up the great work and you'll surely be rewarded well for your efforts. So far, you're the only player in this game that has shown a screenshot! Great work!

Don't get too scared as you are well ahead of anyone else. I think you have a group of long standing smartphone users who have used the Palm and BB version of the PIMs mentioned here.

Based on what we have now, anything is an improvement over the basic PIM.

If you are looking to simplify the job, why not just do a plugin or an overlay on the standard calendar app? The only thing I would need in addition to the standard app (and which comes up often in these forums) is a repeating alarm.

Frank.

plugins : impossible The native application doesn't support it.
overlay : it means redesign all the IHM :(
recompile and improve : may be the best solution, but not easy.

FWIW, have a look at RemindMe in the Android Market. While lacking in interface, it may do what I need for the time being. This product does allow repeating alerts that continue till you acknowledge the alert. It also appears to be an extension of some sort to the basic calendar, as entries made in RemindMe show up in both the local and online Google calendars.

I've been all over the web looking for a decent calendar app. There is still a lot of room for improvement. Hang in there! I pay for good software. :)

Frank.

Agree with Frank here. A good PIM for Android is worth paying for. I would not hesitate to drop $10 to $20 on this if it had the features like an Agendus of Pocket Informant.

Ditto here. If Iambic is charging $60 for their Agendus Premier version I would pay the same for something similar. Otherwise, I wouldn't care if they come out with OS 4 that can launch ICBM's. I need a really good pim.
