Pimp My ROM.

I downloaded this and put it on last night, hoping it would improve my battery performance during school. I'd lose 60% or so over the course of an hour with the phone sitting in my pocket. Today after installing it seems like its even worse. It may have something to do with the fact that my phone gets no reception in the buildings at my school, so its constantly searching for a signal. Not entirely sure.

I'm running it on Thundershed 1.6, and was mainly interested in the battery performance stuff from this, but it doesn't seem to deliver.

I'm also on Tshed 1.6. Are you using the standard battery or the extended battery? Did you click on the deeper sleep mod? I'm just trying to figure out how useful this thing is in certain situations. I'm rarely in a spot where I have poor signal, except for Sunday mornings at church when I noticed better battery life. However, church is only an hour, and I'm not sure what the results would have been if I was there longer. In any case, thanks for trying it and giving your feedback. Sorry you didn't have better results.

I don't believe I selected deeper sleep. I'm also just using the standard battery.
I charged my phone up to 75% during my computer science class after it went down to 4% over the course of about 3 hours. Its been 4 hours since then, and its only gone down to 72%, which does actually seem a bit better than normal.
Like I mentioned in my previous post, I get literally no reception in my classrooms, and hardly any at my campus anyway, and I was talking to some other android users today, and they had the same problem with battery life on campus. So I think its the constant search for a signal that does it. I have noticed I get slightly better reception with PmR installed though, so maybe thats way there was the extra drain, it was trying extra hard for the signal?
I don't have class tomorrow, so I'll see if I notice any differences while at home under normal use.

So after a day of standard home use, with light texting, minor internet, music, and just some random fiddling about, it does seem like the battery is better. It went down from 100-50 over 13 hours or so, where normally it would be at 30-15 after that time under the same circumstances But I don't know if that's just due to thundershed (I only rooted my phone just a few days ago, and put PmR on it the next day). So there's that. It seems that the terrible battery life of my phone at school can be attributed to the constant search for a signal. just gotta turn it off for classes.

Get juice defender, it will shut off your data radio while screen is off. And while off, you can tell JD when to sync and fetch emails every 15, 30, 60, minutes.
(could be you already have JD too)
