PIN vs. Pattern with exchange server security settings

Hi All,
i setup my work email (exchange account) on my phone, it's security settings requires me to lock my phone. unfortunately, the pattern option was not allowed.

i had a jailbroken iphone and found a app that disables the lock screen but making the exchange server thinking my phone is locked.

is there a way to do that OR use pattern unlock without the exchange server security settings interfering?
