Is Pinch-In to Zoom feature App specific?

I seem to get it working (after much trying) in the Photo Gallery. When I am trying on the browser, I am failing. Is it true or just me?

I thought there is built-in support for the Pinch-In Zoom... Or I may not be doing it correct...

Any thoughts / help is appreciated.

No pinch support till they get gingerbread fixed. That was one of the features for the update.

Right now pinch to zoom isn't supported by the stock apps, it is enabled on 3rd party apps though. Any app that supports pinch to zoom or multi-touch gestures will work.

Supposedly when Gingerbread hits it will be enabled in the default browser. For now I am just using Dolphin HD to get my pinch on.

Or use Opera Mini Browser, it can pinch to zoom..

In Gallery, you probably made an accidental double-tap. Double-tap does provide crude zoom in several stock apps.

Opera Mobile is winning over Mini for me right now. Turbo mode got improved with better WEBP-based compression, Flash works and setting "Agent" to "Desktop" gives you the REAL version of websites.

No pintch to zoom on pphones default browser but i use dolphin hd for my browser its great has pinch to zoom and gestures

Didn't 2.3 just land again? Because that should add pinch-zoom almost everywhere.

pinchin is back with 2.3 upgrade! I did the upgrade a few minutes ago
