Pinch to zoom problem

I've noticed that I can't change the font size when I pinch and zoom a web page. It is not awful because
the screen is so big. I did notice that things works better if I sign in. It is not like the phones at all! It doesn't matter which browser you use. It seems to be a patent violation, I think. A solution may be to install an enlarge button to provide the capability. It should be availible for visually impaired to add to the experience. I'm just saying this as a suggestion. Any idea, what do you think, impaired or not.

Yo, I have slightly low vision and I love the pinch-to-zoom capability! But I've never needed to technically change the font size because I can zoom to the precise size my eyeballs need.

So you must enjoy scrolling back and forth to read the content, it seems tedious to me. Re-sizing the fonts, to fit the space on the screen, works so well on smart phones, my EVO for example,, it seems to be evolutionary. There must be a legal issue at hand, I imagine.
