Just got my phone today, 2hrs setting all my apps up. Took the kids out for halloween, some pictures it took that were dark had a light pink hue to the whole picture. Is this something that is supposed to be fixed?

In low, artificial light, most of my shots come out with a orangeypink tint. Not outside, which aren't great in low light but don't have that tint.Nor do ones under well lit conditions at night. Whatever. I don't think the camera is as good as advertised except under certain conditions, mostly quite well lit, indoors or out, but I never thought it would be as good as the Note so I am ok with that.

I've had two nighttime events and I can honestly say, I am disappointed in the camera on my Pixel...shots are grainy, often out of focus...nighttime video struggles and struggles with focus. Could be me, the user but doubting it.

This isn't enough for me to give it up yet for the LG V20 as I really want pure Android/Google and updates but a little discouraged.

^^ Those pictures don't look that bad.

I think people have completely unrealistic expectations after seeing best example "real world samples" from reviewers and Google themselves.

It's not a DSLR, and even with a DSLR, unless you have a longer exposure time, of course its going to be grainy with the ISO bumped way up.

Edit: Do you have HDR+ Auto turned on? Because on my monitor i can see the grainyness, which makes me think its not.

Well they certainly look pretty poor to me.

HDR+ and auto on. I did not have these problems with the Note camera so I don't think, if this is the best camera out there, it is unreasonable to want better.

I didn't have these issues on the Note 5 or 7 or Lumia ICON. Night shots and videos are just so poor on my Pixel...but wllling to try to fix it and admit if it might be Carbon Based... :)

It's becuase you can't do manual exposure thorough the app so auto is putting it at a really high ISO causing noise

I don't get a pink hue on my pixel. Every Samsung I've had(s3 4 5 6 and 7,note edge) got a pink hue in dull or indoor shots.
