In all seriousness, this seems to indicate a seriously unoptimized at best, severely broken at best driver currently even if functional without issues. If they can improve GPU scores AND battery, it would indicate the latter.

I am genuinely interested to see how this plays out.

Me too, battery life though been excellent.

My broken brain. Second part was supposed to read at worst.

Anyway I'd be interested to see what they consider an improvement. Improvement is an improvement but it could be scenario based.

On my P10P XL, battery life is excellent. Except when it is disappointing.

On a normal daily driver basis battery life is excellent. Much better than my P8P.

When traveling: running navigation, fitness apps, streaming music, taking lots of photos. With much of this taking place out in the sun. Meaning brightness is at 100%. Battery life is disappointing.

Not disappointing in comparison to other phones. But disappointing in what I would have liked. Not disappointing in what I expected in reality.

It would be nice to get to a point where I did not have to carry an external battery with me when traveling.

But carrying an external battery in these instances. Is a fact of life regardless of manufacturer.

I am very happy with my P10P XL and Iook forward to it continuing to get better.

Thanks for sharing your experience, hopefully in this coming update we see more updates towards battery and performance which I'm not experiencing but always a welcome.
