Android Central Question
I just moved and the new place has data limits on the WiFi. I didn't think this should be a problem, but 4 days after moving I was notified that my 300GB limit had been reached. There was absolutely nothing that I had done that should have used that much data. So I began investigating and I discovered that when my phone was connected to the WiFi, it was pulling almost 10 MB down a minute. Even when I turned the WiFi off on the phone, it continued pulling data from the WiFi. If I look at the data usage over WiFi in the settings on the phone, it says it has used 11GB in the last month. But on the WiFi router it says that it has used 150GB in the last 4 days. I have tried restarting the phone, looking into the updating services, etc. There doesn't seem to be anything that should cause that level of data to be used (only on WiFi, when I turn the WiFi off, it stops using data). Any assistance would be great, I tried to find anyone else having this issue and I couldn't find a fix that worked.
