Pixel 2 launcher...?

Last night I downloaded the launcher on my s8. Heard they put the search bar on the bottom so you didnt have to reach to the top of these longer phones?

But with the launcher is activated it reverts back to the top of the screen again??

I installed the launcher on my Pixel XL and the search bar stayed at the bottom, not sure why yours isn't. I try re installing and see if that fixes the issue.

I have it on my note 8 and it stayed at the bottom as well.
