Pixel 2 or Oneplus 5T?

My 5T went back yesterday. Yes it was a good phone and a great price but the camera difference is too drastic from my 2 XL. I also noticed the software differences as far as fluidity. The 5T although near stock, is not as smooth as the pixel. Games like PoGo and Animal Crossing ran noticeably slower on the 5T and the fact that you cant watch 1080p video on multiple video sources is a big no no. Id rather finance 849 from google over 24 months than pay $500 for an inferior device up front. The pixel will hold its resale value come the pixel 3. Google was giving $400+ for the pixel as a trade in for the pixel 2.

I would recommend Pixel 2. Mostly because you posted this question in a Pixel 2 forum.

I would recommend the Pixel for two reasons: security updates and platform updates.

Add device security and user privacy to this list, separate from updates.

Both are really great phones and I currently own both of them. I would strongly consider physical size though. Pixel 2 is much more compact, while the 5T definitely feels large. Both run really great, with advantages and disadvantages in regards to software for both of them. And if you need the best camera around, no doubt go Pixel. Morty summed it up really well though with that list of pro's and con's. Hope you let us know which one you chose.

Pixel 2 bezels are a deal breaker though. Too damn big.

I have a note 8, pixel 2 xl lg v30 and the lava red OnePlus 5t, I must say the oneplus 5t is freaking fast I haven't used my note 8 since getting the lava red lol it's a pretty decent phone running 8.0 beta 2 no lag what so ever and battery life is really good *** for the camera it's descent but not the best but again I'm not a photographer . So that's just my point if view.

I have both the OnePlus 5 and the pixel 2xl. I find myself using the OnePlus 5 as my daily driver. If I am traveling or going to take alot of pictures I take the pixel with me but I found I enjoyed the OnePlus more. There were too many like things I didn't like with the pixel. the fingerprint sensor is slow. The reaction time of the proximity sensor was an issue and the charging time is some of the slowest I have seen in quite a while. I have none of these issues in the OnePlus

Pros and cons here , but after BT issues and Wi-Fi & blue screen ,I sold out to the One Plus 5T the trade off for me will be camera but I'm just a average user anyway other things outweigh the need
Compared to the Xl it's also about $350 less
